I'm a keen amateur photographer who is learning every day. Photography is a passion and a hobby that's taken over my life. So much so I'm looking to take courses on photography (as well as drawing) with the Open College of Arts. I really enjoy taking photos but feel I have a lot of room for improvement. Saying that I can definitely see I've got better since getting serious in late 2007.

I would like to eventually combine photography with my other interests; travelling, cycling & pencil drawing. But currently I'm out of work nursing my parents. I do make sure, though, I take some time out for my photography. My main genres are landscapes, nature, animals, events and sport.

Along with photography I have also started to learn Photoshop loving manipulating and tidying my photos. I've found Photoshop very easy to pick up and use but, again, there is lots to learn.

The plan is to revamp both sites with a little help from my friends and start afresh with. For now, though, have a browse through the main categories on the blog:

Red Bull Air Race London (29th July 2007)

My brother and I enjoyed the Red Bull Air Race on Sunday 29th July 2007. We were up at the crack of dawn, missed the first train out of Edenbridge so drove to Redhill to get up to London. UK Floods (in Thatcham/Newbury, Berkshire) (20th July 2007)

Well I had an interesting day yesterday (as did many others in the UK). I was working out of the Newbury Business Park [West Berkshire, South England] yesterday (not my usual place of work). It had been raining (and raining *hard*) since I woke up at 5am. Le Tour de France London (7th July 2007)

Some old stuff...

I was up in London for the Saturday (7th July 2007) Prologue of Le Tour de France in London. I thought it was fantastic! Up very early I made my way to Marble Arch. At this point it was pretty empty and quiet, but as I walked around I found some people already placing seats along the course. Wimbledon tennis championships (6th July 2007)

Old stuff...

My brother and I went on the first Friday of the Wimbledon tennis championships (6th July 2007). We've never been before but it was great and we're hoping to go next year (centre court here we come ;-)).

I train'ed it up from Thatcham while Neal traveled from Croydon - guess which one of us had to get up at 4am? ;-) Eventually we met up at Wimbledon tube station where it started to rain, typical!

Goodwood Festival of Speed (23rd June 2007)

Old stuff...

My brother and I went down to Goodwood Festival of Speed 2007 near Chicester for the middle day (Saturday 23rd June 2007). We were up early as we thought we'd either get lost like we normally do or we'd get stuck in major traffic. But the journey down was a doddle (apart from a little tour of a roundabout or two) and it's was dead quiet.
