It is realy very easy. Take your photos to Photoshop make a layer the make another layer with the same photograph Layer 2. Reduce the image size of layer 1 Now you will see layer 1 and the edge of layer 2,.Select layer 2 and give it a lot of blur with gausian blur select layer style and use bevel and emboss and maybe inner shadow just play with it till you reach the effect you like, the select layer 1 and select layer style and select bevel and emboss and accent it a little also use drop shadow it is very effective and that's all there is to it.
The way I made it around the Tucan is different make a new file in photoshop make it much larger than the photograph you want to frame than ad stroke this will give tou the basis of the frame go to layer style and go to blending modes choose bevel and emboss and play with it till you have the effect that you like, the duplicate the layer and crop out the frame, go back to layer styles and repeat the same procedure as before choosing your own
style with bevel and emboss but also use drop shadow than select your photo and select Cmd A and hold down the shift key and paste it onto the first two layers, you might have to use scale if needed again select layer styles and use the same procedure only a little bit and innershadow after you have reached the effect you look for flatten the layer and save it.
try it and Good Luck
