Wow! I was just reviewing my last post and realized that a month has passed? Where does the time go? My oldest daughter celebrates her 21st birthday today (speaking of time passing by). Last November she brought our first grandson into the world. He's marvelous, adorable, and full of laughter. I haven't met him yet. She lives in North Carolina with my son-in-law. Time...

I've been out of work now for about two weeks. Apparently the wrong time of the year to lose your job - or hell, maybe it's just me. That hard won associate's degree isn't really doing anything for me right about now. On the upside, I finally went back through all my photos from the last three months. I've discovered a few that I think might work as stock photography submissions - let's cross our fingers. And I finally found the courage to delete all the ones that I just knew were crap. Fingers crossed

Well, after about six months with my DSLR camera, I've sent my first photo off in hopes of it being published by a magazine. Let's cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Tombstone and Bisbee

We took a short trip to Bisbee, and stopped in Tombstone today. I'm still struggling with when to use a semi-automatic mode like aperture priority. In late afternoon, in a canyon town like Bisbee, the light conditions can change so rapidly from one area to another. But I am not happy with how the camera handles semi-auto modes, and so I'm stuck in manual for awhile.
