So I just finished up my digitl photo I course this summer! I got an A on all of my projects and and an A for the semester! Hopefully, when I recieve my portfolio back I will be able to scan and post my pictures! They are RAW files, due to the professor making us shoot in it. Anybody know another way I could upload them from my camera without having to scan the finished copies? I dont have photoshop so I cant view RAW files on my computer, or so I think ;]

I fell in love with the D40 when I tried it in Jan of last year...This Jan I bought it and still love it...It is a great beginner dslr cam.
I use Picasa and Irfanview with basic editing features (in re: Irfanview, you can add plugins if you like to do more post processing)...if your looking for starters-they do work and are freeee...Then there are the ones you may purchase...too-spendy for me...I'm sure there is more but I use these mainly and conjunctively (is thAT A WORD? LOL). Well now I'll be off to view your photos!
How you getting on with the D40?
As for editing software, I used Picasa on your plane. It's a free title from Google and although not feature-filled, it's fine for quick tweaks. As for full-on software without the full-on price, try Gimp. Gimp is opensource software which is 100% free, fully supported and updated and full of features. Find it here:
