Before you begin using this site we would like to tell you a little bit about the place.
This site is designed for photography enthusiasts. It is not a place for uploading a million sentimental photos of friends and family. There are other sites that are better suited for that purpose. Please share your best photos, read forums, join groups and by all means ask questions.
If you have any thoughts on photos you see, please comment on them. You are welcome to check out all the photos on this site and leave any comments you like on photos you like or dislike. Be critical and explain why you feel a certain way about a photo. This in itself is a great way to learn and grow as a photographer.
Very importantly, please read all the rules about this site.
We hope you meet new friends among our many photo enthusiastic members and that you have a great time on MSS (MyShutterSpace).
For my part, I do not run this site nor am I associated in any way with MyShutterSpace.com.
Hi there ... checking in to answer some of your questions .... I use Nikon bodies (D-50 & D-80) and for the sports shots I use an 80-200 mm f/2.8 lens (if I shoot in daytime I use a 2X teleconverter as well) this lens is normally on the D-80 ... I use the D-50 with a 55-200 lens for the closer shots. Don't know much about the camera you're looking at purchasing but I would go to DP review and see how they rate it. If you are seriously thinking about shooting sports then you may want to consider going with the Canon line of cameras .... just look at the sidelines of any pro sports game and that's the name you'll see there predominantly ... if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask, I'll be more than happy to share whatever I can that might help you along.
