About Me:: I love looking at photographs. I'm also an amateur photographer who's aiming to improve his style and technique, and to acquire a deep(er) understanding of photography.

I got into photography just about a year ago now, by buying myself a present: my Nikon D80 and kit. I've since been learning the ropes by trial and error, mostly. (Bin reading books, of course but, at least in this field, nothing seems to stick unless I'm in the field and fiddling with the camera.)

As regards tone and exposure and the like, everything in my gallery is unedited and "as shot" (occasional conversion to b&w or sepia excepted). Please note, I have nothing against Photoshop and the like - I'm just looking to improve my technique...
