Is there a way to prevent people from uploading +300 random photos?

I think you need to allow people to up0load at least 6 a day. They should be reminded to only upload their best pics.

Fun with Macro

You have a way with insects...I have trouble getting them unless they are half dead (although I did capture a shot of a live bee once). GREAT SHOTS!!!

About Me:: I'm new to digital photography. I used to use film and have several SLR cameras. I just got a Canon Supershot G9 digital camera which is almost a SLR without the bulk. I am learning to use all the features (I have to read the book). I also would like to learn more about editing pics. I appreciate any help from those of you who are more experienced photographers.

For a newcomer in digital photography like you claim, you sure shoot like a pro. Your macros are sensational. I have a couple of photographer friends that also use the G9 and both speak very highly of it. Their photos show it. When I first acquired my dslr, I was told by an old pro to shoot at least a thousand photos using all the settings and he assured me that I will know my camera's capabilities like the back of my hand. I'm getting there. I am on my way to two thousand. If you haven't bought a photo editor yet, look into LightZone With a film background as you have, you might find LightZone to be to your liking. I believe it's the only software with an editing feature called zone mapping which is loosely based on Ansel Adam's zone definition. A full-featured "try-before-you-buy " version is available for a free download. Their website is lightcrafts.com. If there is anything I can help you with, give me a holler.
