New to Myshutterspace

I'm still fumbling my way around the website right now!  I have just been introduced to photography.  For years I thought that because I had a minor shake in my hands that photography was out.  A friend told me to give it a try.  I bought my Canon Rebel T2i and I have been loving it!  I also paint in chalk pastel and draw.  I have always signed anything I did as R.A.M.

R.A.M. Arts came along in January of 2002.  Back then I did a little freelance work for various people.  I have five children so my time is limited and painting is a luxury that I have not had time for.  Photography has opened up a whole new avenue of artistic expression.  I am still learning.  I watched a video on correct lighting last night.  I felt like slapping my forehead.  Some of it should have been such common sense and it somehow escaped me!!  I'm also just learning my way around Lightroom.

I'm about to leave and head over to Sam Houston State Park.  I have been told that it has some beautiful spots to shoot especially if the dogwoods have started blooming.
