"Hi Joe. As you know i have a nikon D300 and a fuji X-A1 but i think you would be better going for the nikon D5200 you will have a much better choice of lenses and you can buy secondhand .The lenses for the fuji are very expensive and you dont have…"

PHOTO~THIEF ON MSS AGAIN

Posted on January 25, 2009 at 3:30pm 63 Comments

I ran a check through tineye after noticing that a shot posted by Edmond G Troy was not correct Long Walk Trinity College Dublin on a snowy night 1991 I know Dublin well & this is not Trinity College & to my horror & disgust I found a number of other shots posted by Edmond G Troy that belong to other authors.

Photo theft is something which is abhorrent to me & sadly we've come across this problem on MSS before therefore I ask you all to be vigilant… Continue

Thanks for the feedback Paul, I have not done much close up/macro work, I think my point of focus was on the pink stamen at the back, I was shooting at f1.8 so hence the focus issues. I wanted the leaves to be soft, to draw you in to the centre, I will have to go back for another go, open the aperture up a bit

Hi Paul..Sorry for the delay mate...your programmes, elements 7, photomatix and colour efex all work on win 8.

I dont think anyone would hack into your account, as you are not like me , always downloading cracks, and I never have any problems, and I bank on line.

You obviously have antispyware installed and this would stop them.

Your external would not be a good idea for an operating system afraid..

I just wondering how much it would cost to ship a computer to you in Ireland...I could build an old one up for you,  with win 7 on it.

Paul..I just thought..you are using elements if I recall..it will work on windows 7...dont know what else you are using.

Hi Paul...yeh I was waiting on them pulling the plug on xp.It will still work for a while paul afterwards mate..I cant think of any updates xp would need..I have an old one running windows 98 haha....Honestly Paul..windows 7 is the way to go..you would see a vast difference..Hilda bought a new pc at xmas with windows 8 on it , and I had to format the drive and install win 7 on it for her..Do you not have a spare hard drive that you could install windows 7 on, just to try it..I can give you a genuine serial number for windows 7 home edition..Let me know what you decide to do...Wish the heck I was nearer to you, so that I could help you out.

Cheers Dave
