About Me:
Hi,
I am very self critical of my pictures and I have a bin stuffed full of rejects,I dont use any ''photoshop'' colourings or tweaks,I do crop or rotate an image,but nothing else.
Soap box moment :- if you use programs to alter a pictures colour or texture etc, then that is not the picture you took, infact, you could take any picture from the internet and edit to how you liked.Which begs the question of why bother to go out with a camera at all. This is only my opinion and counts for very little in this world, I don't take myself very seriously and wouldn't expect others to either, very sorry for the rant xx
I really do enjoy going out in the early morning or late evening to capture the great light that we enjoy on the coast and in the forest.There is something magical about seeing the sun rise above the horizon,whether its at the beach or Stonehenge, but dont just think that you have to go to places like those when a sunrise or set over a city scape can hold a wealth of colours,shapes that a country setting could never give.
My Equipment
Pentax K100 with a variety of lenses as follows;
Tamron AF 70-300
Tamron AF 28-200
Pentax SMC FA 28-80
And the best lens that mother nature could give me eyes

Hi Andy- Thanks for the comment on Gold Mine Bust! Todays image recording tools are both handheld and sit on the desk. I take all my shots in RAW and process them to what my eyes percieve to be as natural a color as possible. In the end, a persons eyes are the last word on everything anyway. If you shoot JPEG, then you are depending on the internal computer of the camera to decide what should be blue and what should be red, etc. Sometimes, a little tweaking is required to get the image to tells it's story properly. I don't care for overly processed images, but am ok with correctly what doesn't come out of the camera correctly. Your images are, to say the least just fabulous. - Dennis
