have you gone into the menu in your camera, and then to the quality.. and chosen the highest it goes?

I'm Sydnie..
I've been messing around with photography for about 5 years now. I shoot anything. (haven't really had experience with sports photography though)
Lately I've really been into portraits. but lack of many models- they have to usually be self-portraits, which has been of good use. plus it's sometimes just easier by myself.

I use a canon 400D(xti) now. every once in awhile i'll use my holga, polaroid etc.. (I listed all of them in 'my equipment' if you're really interested)

I've had a few people ask me how I do the postwork to my photos.. so I thought I'd just write a blog entry with all the little do-dads.

-Choosing the right picture is very important, sometimes I'll mess around on a shot adding all the jazzy stuff but really, it shouldn't have all that. so 'simple' is better for some pictures and for the others, photoshop is just calling out for it.

-By the time I'm finished, I will probably have added about 15+ layers of different colors, trying…

Do you use a monitor to look at the framing of the shot as you are photographing yourself?
