Hello Ray, thanks for your comment on my most recently added photo.
The lighting was in studio, just one softbox on a side and a white reflection wall on the other for filling light in the shadow. So classic portrait lighting, no trick at all. You can get the same effect when you use a system flash on a side, so not on the the camera. Also at a window but with no direct sunshine in it.
