Hi Maurico, I haven't got that information I am sorry, I read it when I was looking (and bought) an E-3. It was on a couple of different photography websites in the review section on E-3s. They simply said it will be possibly in the fall (obviously…

Wow, Peter, can you enlighten a bit about, where I can gather more information about oncoming E-5 please! Cheers! Maurico

I still shoot with E-3. But when I need to be mobile (going to out of town in short time) I need lighter camera, and so I take the PEN. But when I travel to take pictures with lots of time I take E-3 with me, but also with the PEN. Why?, because It…

You may just want to hold off a little bit as there is an E-5 to replace the E-3 to be released sometime in the near future.

Toga, thanks for supporting me. Really, manual lenses are a fun to use. I have some old PEN lenses and some macro equipment from Olympus OM, that is real pleasure. The major disadvantage of the PEN vs. the DSLRs are the relatively low AF speed. But…

Hi Peter, I also did want to change the 510 to 620. But when the P2 came out I bought it and never think again of the 620. The Pen is a good camera. Recenlty I bought a 12mm voigtlander lens and attach it on the P2. It is fun to use a manual focus l…

Hi Suzanne! The traffic in this group seems to be almost zero... What is the reason why you want to replace your 510 vs. 620 ? I am using for years a E-1 and then E-3 and now I am almost ever using a Pen-2. I suggest you to test this camera. For eve…

I got a E-3 with some Pro-lenses. And a PEN-2. Is the last one a "DSLR" according the definition of this group? regards - Peter

About Me:
Hi,

Digital photography is always my passion and my Japanese friend was the one who inspired me when I was studying in Wellington, New Zealand.

My very first camera was a Minolta but soon I moved to digital. Olympus C-2000Z was the first digital camera I got. It produced superb images during the time with exceptional optical. It was very expensive at the time purchased and with the same investment I could buy a decent DSLR today easily.

Wanting to have Olympus E-1 for years but it was too expensive during the first launch. The time came and I got it as birthday present from my girlfriend with special discounted price (thank you). Really enjoy using it and it was a great camera. Added a quality telephoto lens soon after with external flash.

Five megapixel was no longer enough and I decided to again invest on Olympus E-3 (very loyalty here) with quality lens in April. So far so great but need to explore it more to best utilize to achieve its full capability. My E-1 was sold to its new owner who I guess will love it - in good hands and it will keep capturing quality images.

Photography is not my profession. I have been working in a hospitality industry since day one after graduation and still enjoying it. Currently working in a managerial position specializing in Human Resources and People Development.

Pictures posted here are for your comments and critiques which I hope to learn and improve my skills. Would be glad to hear your views and thank you very much for viewing my photographs here. It means so much and your comments/encouragement will keep me going.

Regards,
Parkpoom
