Briefly about me. My name is Ondrej Tichy. I was born and raised in the picturesque town Krinec, which is situated at the flat and fertile landscape in the Middle Elbe near the town Nymburk (approximately 50 kilometers eastward of Prague). After many twists and turns of life I returned a few years ago to my homeland and settled with my family in the town Nymburk.
I first came into contact with a photography when I was approximately 12 years old through the very simple roll film camera Corina by Druopta Prague. Years later, I switched to a real soviet SLR Zenit TTL, which became my inseparable companion until the advent of the digital era. In 2003 I bought a digital compact Minolta DiMAGE X (a DSLR at the time I could only dream about). This device, however, did not allow manual settings, so rather served for ordinary family photos, old Zenit wasn`t relegated to the scrap iron yet. Only at the end of 2009 I fulfilled my longtime dream and I bought used Nikon D200 DSLR with set lenses. I finally found what I was looking for - unfettered creative opportunities. So I began a never-ending process of searching, testing and learning, which brings those who failed him, a huge satisfaction.
