When I was a child, I would go to OHL hockey games with my dad. I would be watching the Sudbury Star Photographer more then the game! I fantasized being a Photographer. When I was 9, I went to Dysney World, in Florida with my mother, and she had bought me a disposible camera. I would be taking so many photos, in diffrent angles, and my mom was so shocked. (My mother had just resently told me about that.) That little dream went down the drain, because I went to a catholic french school, and they would force you to go to University, and become a doctor, of a teacher, or a lowyer. I started thinking to become something else. Then came high school, were I changed to a english public school to learn more english. About 2 years ago, I was at a concert, and I seen this boy, my age with a DSLR Canon, don't know what motel, but I started thinking, I think I want to start doing that. For the next little shows and concerts, I would use my little digital cybershot camera. I started looking into this feild, and just fell in love. I told my mom that I want to go to college for photography, so in August I got a DSLR Nikon D40. I actualy wanted the Nikon D80, but my mom told me that she will buy me this one for now, and later on get me the D80. Where ever I am, I have my Nikon D40 (besides work). Im still trying to learn more and more about my lovely camera. Now im starting to make my portfolio, I still don't know all the settings, and im willing to learn, this is just the begining. Hopefuly get accepted for september 2008, to Fanshawe college in London, Ontario for photpgraphy.
I love feedback on my photos, anyting to help me learn, and get better!
Thank you!
i use a point and shot camera. there are alot of limits placed on it.
even people use in film edited there photos. there are many dark room techniques to improve the balance of the photo. I have a photo posting in which i exposed the film two times. with the enlargers cropping is done quickly. there are filters that change the contrast.
photoshop is the new darkroom work. is should be used. It does not make a photo unreal. Well it can with extremes.
you should learn the basic of it. like as one would would the ways of the darkroom for film.
but it is your choice. and your way of expressing your thoughts.
well that is my pitch.
my picture sun'n water I used no editing on it. I was lucky my 3x zoom did the cropping.
