Just sayin' "hey" --

Thanks for your comment Ovidiu. The one assignment I've done went well. Again, I totally don't see myself as skilled enough to create what I would consider fine art photos. But I figure that a litt... Continue

Thanks ichtus. The assignment went well. I was told that everyone involved felt that I delivered in accordance to their expectations. When I delivered the disc, I also included a few prints of shot... Continue

About Me:
Going for a little update here. Have been around for a few months now and just wanted to express my gratitude for the tips, comments, and opportunity to share on this site. Still working on trying to master the transition from my Sony point-and-shoot to the Nikon DSLR. But getting better at it a little bit at a time.

Come April we're going to be hitting the road for a few months. Travel will take us up through the coastal and central regions of Oregon and then on up into Montana again. Looking forward to a shot of renewed inspiration ... particularly in areas of Oregon that I've never been before.

For anyone new to this site, there's lots of help and inspiration here. And a lot of levels of experience too. So go for it if photography is your thing. This is where you belong.

So, thanks again for the support and inspiration. Take care, and I will too.

Hi Nancy...thank you for your comment in regards to the question I had about your photo and hand feeding the hummingbird. We have a feeder on the front porch, and many hummingbirds are there constantly, and I did have the idea of trying to get one to sit on my hand. Still may try the cotton swab too. They seem so friendly. I had been unaware of how territorial they can be. While sitting and watching them, I sometimes seem to be caught in the middle of an armed attack as one bird zooms in to defend the feeder and misses me by inches, in it's effort to run off any other birds. They are very interesting to say the least. I hope to get more photos taken now than in the past. With the loss of my dog, it kind of brought me down for a short time, but life goes on....please keep in touch, and I appreciate any comments or advise you can give me. Your friend, Joanne

Thanks for posting on my page and ...
good luck on your upcoming roadtrip!

I visited the northwest coast (n. cali thru oregon and into washington) when I was much younger and would love the opportunity to return and take photos of the giant redwoods some day.

I will keep an eye out to see if you post any from your travels... have fun !!
