I've always had an interest in photography but it was only in 1995 that I bought my first SLR, it was an old 35mm Praktica and it cost me £5 at the local market (it was jammed but I soon had it up and running) Got some great shots with it, after about six months I traded it in for a Nikon F50 with a 28 to 200 lens (I got £150 for the Praktica :) The F50 kept me going until 2003 when I got my first Digital camera (a Canon S50) The switch to digital was easy for me as I've worked with computers for many years, the S50 was replaced by a Canon G6 in 2005, a great little camera that kept me happy right up until 2009 when I got myself a nice shiny new Nikon D90, what a camera:) I'm still amazed at what it can do (especially in low light)
So that's the hardware end of the story up to date, as you can see from my photos I shoot mostly nature and landscapes (so far:) I think the reason I like photography so much is that there is always something new to learn and to try out. It's a great hobby, one I hope to enjoy for a long time to come :)
My Equipment
Nikon D90 with an 18-105, 18-250 and a 70-300 lens
I still have my Canon G6 which I use as a back up camera.
re: Byodo In HDR -- thanks so much Max. Sorry I didn't thank you earlier... been having a problem finding time to MSS... but your comment is very much appreciated.
