- Ex-HK cop, photographer, audio producer, mountaineer, Redskins fan, reluctantly back in Blightie.
I have been using SLRs for over twenty-five years. My first SLR was a Pentax ME Super, a wonderful camera. Around that time I learned B&W D&P. I worked my way up through 35mm to a Nikon F5. Now working my way through digital. I feel that I have made the most progress as a photographer since joining MSS. Thank you all for your advice and encouragement, and for showing me how photography is done properly.

Testing out my new ND filter

Went down to the woods late this afternoon to test out my new 0.9 neutral density filter, though it was actually getting too dark by then to be doing this. I took a few long exposures in the stream using ISO 100, f22, 30 second exposure and of course a tripod. The results were under exposed by a couple of stops, but I was able to correct the exposure of the RAW image later. Not exactly the Niagra Falls but I was quite pleased with the result anyway. Am looking forward to getting creative…

Hi Mark, Thanks very much for your encouraging comments and for fav. I removed the buttercup after the rain, for I was not to sure about the quallity ;-/
