Night photography attracts many photographers due to its rich color and unveiled reflection of night lights. However the techniques required are quite high and prone to failure. This group wants to invite all members to share ideas and knowledge.

This is one of the best bird shots I have seen. Very well done. And it was COLD to be laying beach waiting for the shot!!! It might be even better (for print exhibition) if done totally in black and white.

thanks guys, gotta love a wispy dandelion! i must have dozens to my collection now & always trying to get a perfect one! this ones a little scruffy but i liked the colours :)

- Hi Lucienne. Thanks for commenting on ‘Dalsnuten 1’, I really appreciate it. To answer your question, it was a single exposure shot (handheld), imported to lightroom, adjusted exposures (1 or 2 stops) for highlights, midtones & shadows and exported separately to photomatix to generate an hdr the image, tone mapped, and saved it. I then import it back to lightroom for final adjustments :)
