what camera should i buy?

i could really use some help, i'm about to buy my first "professional" camera, or whatever u want to call it, and i really don't know which one i should buy.
does anyone have any advice? i'm very very much an AMATEUR and have been taking pictures with my regular camera.
also , what are the basic lenses i should have?

I can't post any pics until Saturday, because, silly me, I lost my USB cable!!
So I can't load any pics from my camera to my computer and I can't edit them either.
Saturday I'm going out to buy a new one, so you'll just have to wait until then!
Hopefully I'll have a lot of new fully edited pics for you by then!!
