- About Me:
- I'm a mother of six, 3 boys, 3 girls, ranging in age from 20 to 37. In of June 09 grandchild #9 was born. I've always been interested in arts and crafts of all kinds but until lately I have have not had the time to spend on my artwork as I would have liked. HOORAY for being an empty nester.
I try to take pictures every day and it has made me appreciate the beauty in this world and in my community.
- My Equipment
- Right now I have a Photosmart M425. I've really enjoyed using it but i"m looking forward to upgrading; right now I'm seriously looking at the Nikon P90.
At the end of July I did get a Nikon P90 and I LOVE it. It suits me and my skills and what I want to learn perfectly. It's still small and light weight enough for me to take with me wherever I go and still has a good range of picture taking opportunities from capturing the eyes of a spider that can sit on the head of a pencil eraser to the craters on the moon. It also allows me to use auto or manuel settings so I can learn at my own pace.

Next Generation
I have often seen blogs asking for advice on what camera to up grade to, but I would like to make a suggestion on what to do with the camera you are up grading from. I think we as photo enthusasists should think of the next generation. I know here in the US the first cuts in school funding is in the arts and many an art teacher would love whatever donations they could get. Advantages of being sick
For the last several days I have felt h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e but I have had extra time on the computer to look at all the beautiful pictures on this site. Doing so has helped distract me from how miserable I feel. I've had time to look at photos, look up profiles of some of the people who took the photos, write comments, make new friends, read some blogs and discussions, generally get to know my way around the website. And then a simple black fabric over cardboard, but no wrinkles. haha. And then iTurned my flash intensity all of the way up, and Shutter was somewhere around 25, iThink. And ISO in the middle. And Aperture opened all of the way up. The incense was right in front of the screen thing. But iWas about two feet back. Good luck!!!! and tell me how it turns out....

- Ours are a little after peak. Some trees are still colorful, but others have shed their leaves already. I think the wind and rain caused the leaves to fall so soon.
That happens to me too...people comment before I finish posting. I think it shows up while I am typing the title. :-)
