Thanks for your advice on extension tubes. Have been off the site for a couple of weeks and have found the information very useful. I have purchased some manual extension tubes to begin trying/attempting macro photography and have done some further research. My only worry is the dust factor really and the manual aperture setting, which may convince me to purchase some of the Kenko tubes which give you control over aperture.

Hey John! Sorry, it's been a while since my last visit. I missed two pages of your gallery :) Your newly additions are all pretty awesome.

How do you like your Canon? Did you get any new lenses?

Sorry I didn't get a chance to comment on your Winning shot in the Challenge.....very exceptional work. Looks amazing in color as well. You have an excellent Gallery as well!

hi john thanks for the comment. that bubble shot you asked about was done in a program called photobrush 5 if you like these kind of shots i can highly recommend it.its very cheap to buy and the little planet part is worth it alone for the effect. i think you can download a trial version. also its soooooooooooo easy to use no need to take alot of shots ,stitching them etc. hope this was helpful. paul

John i used a 100mm canon macro lens for my fly image

Hand Held as well...only because i was at work and did not have the tripod.
