Thank you too Helen!  I was only using PSE8 up until a couple of weeks ago and then bought Photomatix Pro 4.0  and Photomatix Light 2.0...have been "playing" with them and dabbling with tonemapping and finally some "gentle" HDR work.  I try as best I can to stay as natural as possible...editing only to accentuate that what I saw but staying as true as possible to the true tones and colors seen at the time.  I have been going through all my photos...many are only in jpeg....Have only now finally "seen the light" regarding shooting in RAW only.  Many of my shots were also only taken with my small compact digital...but, PSE8 and now Photomatix Pro have helped to "resurrect" some of those that were a little "washed out" or underexposed etc. Am still only very much a novice with both the dSLR and photoediting but have been learning HEAPS from viewing others' work and chatting with more experienced and "accomplished" photographers.  There are soooo many different photoediting programs....all geared toward personal preferences and finances....but so far I am happy to go with what I have at the moment. Have been able to achieve some good results so far...I think! :)  Just need more critique rather than just praise.....I have only just started offering my pov when looking at others' work too....feeling a little more "confident" in expressing myself ...not quite so shy ;)

"Wow! Such powerful colours! I like the treatment, but I think it just needs something somewhere to be razor sharp to 'anchor' the picture."
