I love photography with a purple passion but I am clearly an ameture. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE any advise you can give me good or bad its all good! Im a mom of two handsome boys and I have a wonderful husband going on 4years. I take portraits for friends and family at the moment and hope to one day be able to charge for my photographs.

HEY !!!

Hey everyone! I have two lights with umbrellas that I recently purchased. Im trying to figure out what a good setting is to shoot on a black background and a white. Im just trying to take some portraits in an in home studio area that is really dark so I purchased these two to help me. At the moment there turning out sorta grainy and harsh and Im really trying to get a crisp perfect picture. Any advise will be sooooo appreciated!! You guys have given me some amazing tips!! Thank you

Please help!

Hey everyone! I am getting an external flash for my sony a350 but Im not looking to spend a whole lot of cash. Is it ok to buy an off brand? do you guys know of a low end one for my camera that will do a good enough job? I manly do portraitry and may be shooting a wedding in the near future.
