Anita - all of these were shot with the 105mm Nikon, some stacked and some single exposure, lighting is with a diffused 2 meter 'Elinchrome Octa' which gives me the soft wrap around light + a back snoot / grid on some :)"

this was a horizontal 'reverse' clone of the same bug in different poses - the background was a white table with a simple blue / brown blend in photoshop :)"

"That's about right Mark although i like to go longer to F:8+ on macro stacking.
The D3 was the first 'king' at high ISO which explains the smooth background, i hope to be getting a D800 E early next year this time for the resolution -…"

"Hi Mark, i thought for a second this one was taken with my 24x70mm, but on looking at the exif i see it is indeed the 105mm and shot @ F:2.8. The ISO was set to 1280 as i guess there was little ambient light around.."
