- My name is Emilie Schwarz. I’m seventeen and consider myself an amateur photographer. I am, however, working towards becoming a professional and building my career in photography. I came to want to be a photographer the same way I suspect everybody does; I started taking pictures. And then I took some more. I then went to my Dad, who did some freelance work in his college days, and said ‘Hey, I want to make a picture look this way. How do I do that?’ When I finally got the picture to turn out the way I wanted, I would post it on the Internet. Then, people would start commenting on them, saying what they liked, or what I could have done different. Eventually I realized that photography is something I love and something I could possibly turn into a career, which brings me to the point I’m at now. Sixteen, with my first DSLR learning everything I possibly can. I sincerely appreciate everybody who has checked out my photos and left comments or sent me an email. Please feel free to tell me what you like, AND what you don’t like. Thank you so much!
