Hi Good evening to all photography enthusiastic people! My self again after a long lull period. Recently I bought a telephoto lens( Tamron 70-300mm) with macro option. I am shooting photograph with that lens. when I used macro mode I have to maintain a certain gap with the object to get some results. Do I get good result as compared dedicated marcro lens. Can I use converter with that lens to get better result. I am too new in this field, please suggest me.

what to buy?

Hi everybody! I am Dr Pranab, I am a medical and critical care specialist. I love photography. Though I don't have any formal training. My interest is in the field of Macro photography and Night photography. Presently I am going to buy a good digital SLR camera. I have narrow down myself to Nikon D3000 or Cannon 1000D. but I am confused which one I should go for buy. There are some advantages and disadvantages both of them, can any body help me out.

Good evening Ms Debbie, I shall be grateful if you remove the date stump of that photograph. These days I am a bit busy here as my final examination of MD Medicine is knocking at my door. I therefore can't go out to click new photograph. Extremely sorry for that.
With regards

Hello again Dr. Pranab, thank you so much for your very kind comment on my "Morning Mix" photo. So much appreciated. I really love your photo. Was wondering if you would like me to remove the date stamp for you and then send that copy back to your? You can download your own editing program from the internet. There are a couple of completly free ones or most others have a free 30day trial so you can try them till you find the one that fits your skill level and buget. Let me know if you want me to do it for you . Love and prayers -Debbie-

Hello again, just to let you know that I took up photography about 20 months ago and at that point I knew nothing except to point and shoot. I now know a lot more and enjoy all the new experiences that come with learning something new each day. You will also find it an enjoyable and frustrating time getting the shot just right:) What software are you going to use?

Hi Dr Pranab, do you want to be called by your title or just your christian name? I would say that you need to go to a camera shop and handle the cameras as that may make your decision for you. I went in for a Nixon and came out with a Canon D50 as it felt more comfortable in my hands. As for the difference in the end results, good shots, I think there is little to choose from and it will come down to personal preference. I hope this helps you and I look forward to watching your shots as they appear on this site. Good hunting:))
