- Partnered for 30 years with my beautiful wife. We have 2 delightful kids aged 15 and 19. I'm strictly an amateur and my photography is a hobby. My interest in photography was fostered by my father who was a fabulous amateur photographer (A.F.I.A.P.) in the 1950s. Dad was always helping others take better pictures and I enjoy doing the same. My equipment is very basic and for the time it's all I need. I've been really delighted with the performance of my Nikon D40 and 18-55mm kit lens. I believe my photography proves much can be done with a basic camera. Because it's not worth a mint I'm able to toss it in my shoulder bag and have it with me always. I'm never without it!.. I shoot in RAW and JPEG and have just discovered Lightroom...what a revelation that is..Happy Snapping

Hi David,
Is it a good idea to extend the Panning challenge for another week ? It be a good chance to see if I can get more entries and also letting them know sooner might allow them to give their best at the photographs. Please let me know about this when possible. I have asked Henry as well..and am waiting for his answer.
