Stand By Me

I don’t often get out of the house, but today my wife begged me to get out and take a walk. I eventually relented figuring it would do me some good. My best friend -- my German Shepherd dog -- passed away a few weeks ago. Some might think its silly to get emotional over a dog. I don’t think so. I’ve been attached to my dog for almost ten years now and it is very difficult to get past feeling very empty without her. For one, I agree and recognize that the introduction of the digital camera has changed the playing field for the professional photographer. Nowadays anyone can buy a decent digital camera at Best Buy and get fairly good photos of the family for much l… Continue

Everyone's a Critic

MyShutterSpace is one of the best social networking sites for photographers where all levels from beginner to advanced can get together and discuss and share their love of photography. One of the main benefits that we all enjoy, no matter what level we are, is the photo critique. It is important to realize that photography is an art and its beauty is subjective. Some will like your work, some will hate it, and some will be indifferent -- and most of us just can't resist the temptation to offer s… Continue
