well Kathy I have seen your best HDR so far, I like the one with the building and the fountain, excellent, the Eagle is really good but your BLACK point is a bit too high
Thanks, I only use sb800 flash or natural light, ones I get better at this than I’ll invent in lamps, strobes and video lights, do you have any recommendation?
Photography........ scape is probably a good word for how it makes me feel, I honestly forget about my problems and the world around me when I am behind my camera, perhaps isthe reason why I spend so much time there. For me it started with a 110 film Kodak that my mother had, we went on vacation and one day I just took the camera and photographed the horizon from the beach shore only because fog was rolling towards me. That photo was my first and the only reason I remember it is because my mother really liked it and complimented me on it. And I liked the feeling of pleasing people with photos and it became very interesting and odd how much people like the stuff I hate, photos i believe to be amazing no one likes and the stuff I am about to discard people love. In the 80's I did some freelance photography for many of the local papers here in NYC and that was exciting to me, fires...shootings...accidents... anything and everything that was news worthy I would show up to, was making good money but as all good things they end, papers started to buy amateur and cellphone photos just because they where cheaper than to buy mine and at the same I started to notice I became very callous to other peoples misery and that started to bother me, one day I just stopped listening to the scanners and changed professions, and just like Chuck my camera was never to far from my reach, now I dedicate all my photography to what people don't see and overlook, my friends call me " click click " because is all I do. They always say i am nuts for photographing the weirdest stuff and later they go OHHHH AHHHH WOW and really enjoy those reactions from them, i guess I tend to see what most don't or are not willing to do so. Besides I love when strangers look at me if I was nuts, but I think they are nuts for not seeing all the beauty that is around us every day.
My Equipment
Nikon D70 ...
Sigma 10 to 20mm
Nikkor 18 to 55...
Tamron 28 to 80
Tamron 70 to 300
Manfrotto Tripod
This is a good shot...but i guess if you had kept the ring in sharp focus and made the chain a bit out of focus it would have been a winner...my 2 cents...2 be taken with a pinch of salt. Very interesting work in your profile! Happy clicks!
