Hi Carol, no not an owner or anything like that, just like to make people feel welcome. I meet a lot of very nice people like that, I met you didn't I ? O.K. at the top of your comments you see and edit button. that lets you decide who sees you comments. There is one also at the very top of the page, but I think that only sets the number of comments showing. The inbox is really good for a private message and you send messages there also. I wanted to send one message to all my friends recently and found that I could do that there as well. The only way I learned is playing around with stuff, my husband calls me a dinker. haha I will send you a note through the inbox and then you can answer me back that way, there is a compose button in there. Hope this helps. we will figure it out together. OMG I just viewed one of my posts on your page. I didn't realize it was so long ! I really was rambling that night ! Blessings till later. ~~Debbie~~
Hello again Carol and husband: So nice to hear from you again and to hear so about your life and family. I grew up loving art. My mom divorced when I was 5 and I still have a vivid memory of her sitting at the tiny kitchen table with my sister and myself every day and coloring with us, mostly animals, and horses were our favorite. But she didn't just color, she taught us about shading and blending colors. I always watched her sketching horses and I know I get my love for art from her. She was always doing a new project, she taught us how to cook, sew, embroidery, crotchet and a myriad of other things. She could look at a doily and crotchet it without a pattern. She was so creative and I guess that is why I love nature and animals and art in any form. The tiger in pastel is the only piece of her art I have, everything else somehow disappeared after she passed. I treasure the legacy she gave me. Anyway, my latest projects are learning to paint with watercolors and making and selling jewelry.
I think I am just the opposite of you when it comes to where I like to live, I like to be in the country the farther out the better. But we found it is hard to make a living in the country. And we are too old to do the heavy work we did when we were younger. We live in a very small town of about 1,000 people with farm land all around, only 6mi to the nearest larger town to shop in and 30 mi to an even bigger town with malls and 2 very large hosp. so the small town life is not too bad for me. I just wish we had more trees in this part of the country, I like forests and streams. Well I have rambled enough for one night. I will say good night and God Bless. ~~Debbie~~
Hello Again Carol, thanks so much for the friend invitation and the kind comments. I love your photos, they are beautiful and interesting. Very different than others I have seen. I am just an amateur with a point and shoot, but I have fun getting shots and editing. I really love meeting all the very nice people from all over the world. I use to live in Ca, most recently as a teen, near San Diego. I know what you mean my no snow or ice. When I married my husband at the ripe old age of 16, we ended up moving from Chula Vista to North Chicago Ill. Got there on Thanks Giving day and had to try to find a house to rent. The weather was REALLY a shock to my system to say the least. haha We normally don't get too much snow and ice here. The ice storm did a LOT of damage and thousands of people (and whole towns) were without power for weeks. Well it is very nice to meet you, tell me about your family and post photo, I know you must have some. I will go for now, my twin sons and three grand daughters are on my posts, I need to put one up of my daughter. Blessings to you and yours, and greetings to your family as well. ~~Debbie~~
