- I started out 30 years ago on 35mm b&w photography and loved the hours in the darkroom. Then I moved on to 6x6 and colour transparencies and colour prints. I lost interest for a long while but now a new DSLR is allowing me to rediscover the magic of creating pictures, and I am 'seeing' new ones everywhere!

Yes bruce you are perfectly correct , a black and white picture colour toned, except for ships masts and distant hills.
The Ship is the Lady Elizabeth, iron construction,powered by sail, Built in Sunderland UK .and was the supply ship to the Falkland Islands, in 1913 she hit a rock on entering stanley , was patched up and used has a storage hulk until 1930 in a gale she broke from her moorings and end up there.
Think there are picture of her on the internet, I wll see if i can find it and send you a link,Falkland tourist board web site could have a little more info
