But Florida is also famous for its sudden and unexpected storms. In its…

Juan Ponce de Leon His New and Revised Genealogy the Book Posted on Aug 31st, 2009 by ayesart The reason for my abscence from these pages has not arisen from creating a plastic work of art or seeking out to discover beautiful nature subjects for my photography but from a different kind of artistic realization.

I have been very busy working upon an important new project. A book!

The photos above are of my grand mother, Juana de la Paz Maldonado y Ortiz the original was taken when she was a very young adult. The photo was taken in the early 1900's. The photograph was taken in down town Salinas, Puerto Rico or in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The photographer must have been mid range because he didn't water mark his work. The image records the… Continue

The solution is quite simple...

Set your camera on its specific SPORTS setting and then click away. After the shoot you can delete the shots you aren't satisfied… Continue

Being visually impaired is a trip,

especially if the fields you have chosen to pursue are photography and fine arts painting.

When I write a Blog my computer screen fonts have been adjusted so I can read the text and view the images therein.

When I take a photo I am looking through a special magnification ditty that I have flitched off of an old Game Boy handheld.…

The Art of Seeing.

All Images and Text Copyright 2007, John Ayes

An artist is a person who has worked hard upon changing several aspects within their way of perceiving the world. They have trained their perceptive abilities to observe objects differently from a person who hasn't to the point of an obsessive preoccupation.

Everywhere and artist looks they see a potential for art. A heightened eye sense awareness of what's going on around them is honed to a focal point sharpness so that the…

If you can't have fun while doing what you like best. Give it up and find something you do like.
