Very nice post. I do all this without thinking. Sometimes the shot is composed in my head before I realize what I have shot. It's just something that comes naturally to me. I like hearing about the process, though. The part about the blades of grass…

Very good use of imagination. The only thing that I might think was 'accidental' is the leg and arm on the person in the egg on the right is darker than the rest of the tones of that person? I don't know if that is an accident tho because that part…

A New Artistic Project

Juan Ponce de Leon His New and Revised Genealogy the Book Posted on Aug 31st, 2009 by ayesart The reason for my abscence from these pages has not arisen from creating a plastic work of art or seeking out to discover beautiful nature subjects for my photography but from a different kind of artistic realization… Continue

Ayes Photography Projects

Maintaining a positive outlook is a must in this business.

Remaining within the focus of one's career is a must if one is going to get positive results from any project that's in the works.

Another important thing to have and maintain are specific career goals.

A steady and stubburn focus equals goals that get accomplished.

Hard work and dedication are another key factor.

Striving for perfection is not just a sideline either.

Things That Motivates A Visually Impaired Photographer

Copyright, 2008 John Browne Ayes

Being visually impaired is a trip,

especially if the fields you have chosen to pursue are photography and fine arts painting.

When I write a Blog my computer screen fonts have been adjusted so I can read the text and view the images therein.

When I take a photo I am looking through a special magnification ditty that I have flitched off of an old Game Boy handheld. This e

The Art of Seeing.

All Images and Text Copyright 2007, John Ayes

An artist is a person who has worked hard upon changing several aspects within their way of perceiving the world. They have trained their perceptive abilities to observe objects differently from a person who hasn't to the point of an obsessive preoccupation.

Everywhere and artist looks they see a potential for art. A heightened eye sense awareness of what's going on around them is honed to a focal point sharpness so that the potentia

To Watermark Or Not To Watermark....

A lot of creative persons wonder if they should watermark the work they upload on Web Sites and pages.

This is what the Copyright office says:

Its up to the person to watermark or copyright notice their work. If they choose not to watermark or copy protect their work and someone infringes on it, then the person who infr

Hay, good to hear from you.

You should also see a lot (a whole lot) of small spiders in/around the web. These are young before they get big enough to go out on there own. Also, look for a spider some what smaller than the female but much bigger than the young. This will be the male. Depending on the species he may become a meal for the female.

That is a beautiful little bird. You are fortunate to live in such a beautiful place, year around. Snow, snow and more snow here and boring prairie. We moved a year and a half ago further away from the mountains, now the mountains no longer convenient to visit.
Have a Merry Christmas!

Thanks for your comments about my spider pics. I am not fond of insects, but since I started doing macros I find them to be interesting. I have learned a lot about them from Bugguide and people online. If you would have told me that I would be doing macros of wasps, hornets and bees a few years ago I would have laughed. I'm really a bit afraid of the insects, but they seem to be afraid of me (except for mosquitoes).
