- I came into photography by accident, my girlfriend used to do photography back in high school as an elective and she had mentioned to me that she wanted to get back into it. so i went out and bought her a FujiFilm FinePix S2 Pro, she said it was too confusing looking, so i used it and i haven't stopped snapping away, never took a class in my life. since than the fuji died, and now using a Olympus E-510.

Now Studied photography at Academy of Art University.
since my Olympus E-510, I upgraded to Fujifilm S3 Pro and Nikon D200. After those two i Upgraded to Nikon D2x, and Now using Nikon D3x.

Wedding update!

So the wedding went wonderful, took some of your advice and got an assistant. she was very helpful.
unfortunately this wasn't a traditional wedding and didn't get some of the shots i was excited for. but non the less got plenty of great shots and will add some soon... oh and never even needed to use my darn reflector. :( lol

Ok guys! I'm doing my first wedding on October 10th and as well as some pre-wedding bride and more one on one shoots. i found her on craigslist.com, she posted an ad for a budget photographer since their photo budget was blown because the girl they had already hired and payed skipped town and took their money. since i needed a flash i offered to do the wedding for a barter, and since it was pretty low in cost they offered some money as well which is cool as well since i'm broke. lol.… Continue

No , I will not upgrade from E-3 to E-5. The new one seems great, but my favorite camera is now my small and light PEN-2. I will wait for an high-end PEN and buy that one. This will be expected next year.
Very great is the macro equipment from the old OM-system. I still have one from earlier times and bought some used stuff very cheap at ebay. Perfect is the 50-200 with extension ring, if you want to develop your equipment into the macro group.
The 50-200 is anyhow a perfect one, there is no other lens that could compete with it.
