I was very surprised a few weeks back to read about what happens when you shine a torch into your ocular and ask the camera to work out the exposure! Luckily i don't have LV!
yeah i use the K20d with time exposures and macros. i have never needed mirror lockup except to clean the sensor. My macros are as good as my lens can get. Good tripod, 2 sec shutter delay or remote shutter release, and no wind seems to do it for me.
Mirror lockup with the 2 second delay on the Canon slr's is great! Live view is too. However, you can also get sharp photos even handheld as long as focus is perfect (af often terribly reliable) and the shutter speed is high enough.
I don't think you could tell the difference between two images, one taken using mirror lock and one without, without scrutinising it very closesly, at 100% say. Considering in the real world we don't view images with our eyes this closely, it is not…
Mine seems different as well (to what has been mentioned so far).
If i use live view the mirror is locked up. However when the shutter release is pressed, the mirror returns down, and the the picture is taken (mirror up, apature, shutter, mirror dow…
Are you using mirror lock up with the shutter release cable? If your not using both, you could be inducing vibrations when you press the shutter.
Also: on my old 35mm film camera, the lockup was manual. I would focus, lockup the mirror and trip the…
I love art specially the Renaissance art, photography is still at the experimental stage for me and I use PS extensively. I'm trying to fuse art with digital photography, till now the task is relentlessly difficult.
