- I have had a passion for photography since I was a small child with my parent's 35mm consumer camera. When I was a teenager, I had the rare opportunity to become an apprentice of one of the Upstate's premier photographers. He taught me the difference between a snapshot and a work of art. Though I have acquired a lot of sophisticated gear since then, I haven't forgotten what I learned as a kid with that 35mm camera.
Over the years, I have learned that good photography requires more than just the technical knowledge of shutter speeds, aperture values and ISO settings. Good photography calls for a person that possesses a creative eye for detail and an understanding that photography is simply painting with light. These are the concepts that I base my work on.
