About Me:
"My emphasis is on feeling, self expression, and growth. The artist is succesful only if he or she can use the tools at hand to express feelings. As a photographer, I try to become the subject of my camera. I "am" a shell, a doll, a leaf. I become the ideal woman my photograph of a female nude represents. I seek harmony." ~Ruth Bernhard

"Quit trying to find beautiful objects to photograph. Find the ordinary objects so you can transform it by photographing it." ~Morley Baer

Death Valley

Looking forward to heading to Death Valley in the Sierra Nevada next week for some camping, hiking, and photography. Spring is an ideal time of year to go there since the weather will be warm (but not hot like summer), with beautiful desert wildflowers blooming.

Death Valley is the lowest elevation in North America and will be a welcoming sight after having just visited Kilimanjaro a few weeks ago. Interesting that only a short distance away in the Sierra Nevada is Mount Whitney which is the hi… Continue

Thank you AJ, you are absolutely correct, Laos had more bombs dropped on it than any other country in the world, even to the present day, and men, women and children are being killed or maimed and will be for at least another 100 years.
