Young Earwig. (Forficula auricularia).
Taken on 17/07/2010 in the area of Sennen Cove at 1626Hrs.
As young earwigs grow, they have to shed their outer skin several times. The new skin underneath is white to begin with, but after a few hours it begins to darken. This was taken short time after such a shedding and is on a bindweed flower (Calystegia sepium). Camera Fuji S8000fd.
