titan arum

Titan Arum (amorphophallus titanum) is known as the largest unbranched inflorescence (cluster of flowers) in the world. It is famous for its smell which is likened to rotting flesh. This rare plant takes 7-10 years to flower and only last a few days. This photo was taken at Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne on 27 Dec 2012.
