I agree with everyone on this one...awesome shot...I also agree that it would be much more awesome if the cars were not there.

Hi Pipit
The original image was extremely flat which made it easier to push the levels and colours without clipping. So apart from a warming filter the colours are derived from shot, I copied the base image layer, increased the saturation a fair amount blurred it probably around 5 to 15 pixels to even out all the pixel damage and colour noise then overlayed that layer back over the whole image with the colour only mode. I also a similar thing for just the shadows, giving them different degrees of blur and overlaying that layer with a darken only or multiply mode over the image (you may have to slightly increase the contrast for this layer to stop the midrange and highlights showing through when you use the “darken only layer” mode as its only what’s darker than the underlying image that you want, does this make sense?), and obviously I made good use of the curves across the whole image

Hope this helps

Now this is something I don't see daily :o) Has a very nostalgic look to it.... shame the cars are in the scene, would have looked like a time and place centuries ago. ahhhh Vienna, wouldn't I love to visit Vienna - It is a photo that makes me sit and have a good look around - nice one.
