Wasn't sure whether to post this image but thought it could be interesting. Although the quality is bad I liked the subject. The man was a complete stranger.
I took this photograph in 2002 with the first digital camera I had every bought. It was only 1.2 megapixels. Amazing how rapid the technology has progressed and how prices have plumeted. I paid over £200 for that camera.

I agree with everyone here. You have captured a very special moment indeed. This gentleman has toiled passionately to build his very own pride and joy. You can see in his expression the pride he feels sailing it on the water, almost forgetting his age is restricting his movements a little! He is a little boy again lost in his own world. Truly beautiful...
In my faves and 5 stars!

i agree 100 % pictures are not about quality they are about stimulating your mind and forcing an emotion... when i see a good pic i dont go oh look they used a 3 mega pixel camera this is no good .... if it makes me look, its good. quality is for people in advertising, pictures are for people who have a passion for photography

I love this image hands down. With documentary pieces such as this one or street photography where you are shooting in the moment, I think it is perfectly ok to sacrifice quality for quantity, and this has plenty to say. Well done!

I think there is more to a picture than focus and depth of field etc. you seem to have caught a real good moment here, and to me that is what matters.... good picture

Hi Tim, The photo of the wheels is taken at Windang Island N.S.W, Australia. There is quite a few of these wheels. I don't know the story behind them.Gordon
