Thanks Dennis and Alex. I didn't even realize that I was capturing the shadow when I took this. It was late afternoon and there were lots of mantis hatchlings on the deck. I was on the ground trying to get a decent shot. Some others came out well, but the shadow one was unique.

Dasia, everytime I browsed the featured pics I missed the fact that you had taken this awesome shot! I try to view the images without knowing the photographer immeadiatly. Great shot and congrats on the POTD!
