This image was shot whilst doing a cover shoot for a Magazine in South Africa. We did the shoot in Kleinmond. As we stopped for coffee along the way to Kleinmond, I landed up seeing a big rock at the bottom of the mountain. I decided to leave the car in the road and took a hike down the mountain to see what it looks like. Once I got to the bottom, I carefully looked for a stop before I started shooting, seeing that this is nearly a 80m drop with extremely strong winds. There wasn’t much space to stand either. This was quite a risk that I took to get these shots with lots of adrenaline running through my body. This sound of the ocean scared me as well. I don’t think I have ever heard a road like this before.
I shot this image using:
Canon EOS 50D
Sigma 10-20mm EX DC HSM F/3.5
Cokin UV
Cokin CPL
Vanguard Tripod
ISO 200
200/1sec
12nn
