Thanks for taking the time to write and offer your input - always appreciated.
Nelsons Monument offers a fantastic view of Edinburgh, and I like the foreboding sky very much.
As I mentioned, this was my first attempt at a Pano: I use Elements 10, and stitching the photos was really easy. I later found out that I my mobile phone has software to do the same thing!
I was pleased with how this turned out - Edinburgh Castle is on the left and right of the photo. However, when I look closer I can see some poorly focused areas of the photo, so I won't be transferring to canvas. I also think 360 degree might be overkill, so when I next attempt a pano, I'll probably do 2-4 photos for a nicer effect.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment!
an outstanding Panorama Kamran...very well detailed and laid out ! The vast clouds do give you some room to increase contrast and play with them if needed.
Panoramas always come out very this especially because of the huge landscape length that is obtained due to stitching together of a number of photos. Obviously many ppl cant appreciate a panorama on a computer screen...its best when you printed it out on a large canvas and put it on a wall.
The pano you have here is in its original size..this results in a slightly blur version when viewed full size and when zoomed in. For my panors and other phtos..I sharpen the final picture little bit more for that sharpness and reduce the final image image before uploading. This makes the sharpness intact and appreciatable when viewed very closely.
BW and keep them coming.
