Ok, I am back with the theme. This week we will be shooting on the theme TRADITIONAL.

What are some of the traditional things you see every day? Does your family have a certain tradition that is important to you? Or traditional stuff around you?

Turn your photographic eye to the subject of tradition for this challenge. You should have no shortage of subject matter for this theme.

Take your time to find a tradition and think about how to make an image interesting.

Try shooting at different angles, looking up or looking down. Get creative & interpret!

Experiment and have fun!

Well done! Great tradition and beautiful collage!

Lovely idea & tradition Janny. I would like to follow this tradition!! :P

wow! that's a yummy tradition....  lovely collage.

NE:  This is the "San Phra Phoom"... it is a tradition in Thailand to put up this miniature house (altar like)  in front of every house or building they construct.  It is a belief that when they build something, they disturb the dwelling place of some spirits so they must build something for them to relocate and resettle themselves.  It is a common sight here  in front of houses, big buildings and shopping malls.

My Entry:  The "San Phra Phoom" at sunrise.....

Lolit, after much thinking, you have perfectly got what I meant by TRADITIONAL. Really lovely belief u have portrayed here. Also loved the divine light effect in ur entry. In India too, many Hindus have tulsi (Holy Basil) plants growing in front of or near their home, often in special pots. Traditionally, tulsi is planted in the center of the central courtyard of Hindu houses.

thanks Priya... I was getting hopeless then I saw this... so yesss I took a shot... then when I was about to turn around to leave I noticed the sunrise peeping...so I made another composition.

Come on shutterbugs, our lives are based on traditions itself! I am surprised with so less entries..!!

The challenge is closed.... thnx everyone :) I am coming up with winners soon!
