Alright, first of all thank you Deborah for the opportunity to host the Weekly Challenge.
I am hoping to get a good response for this one as its an easy kinda challenge. So if your reading this, get that camera out and get me photos!! hehe.
Stone Walls are all around us. Some examples would be churches, graveyards, old ruins etc etc.... and are nearly always best taken in Blck & White!!!
As always................... New Shots Only!!!
Thanks Anita,Richard and Lolit.
My three preferred photos of the contest so far, Theresa... going pretty strong there ;)
Nice quality, excellent sharpness, clarity and contrast in all of them. Excellent post processing.
Your entry has an awesome light in it, paired with an interesting low POV, nicely composed. Crisp and sharp, well exposed in a difficult light...
Your first NE is excellent, I really love that play with the DoF. Nice B&W edit without going too much onto a bold contrasted one...
Thanks so much Patrick. I am really enjoying doing the weekly challenges and think that it is teaching me a lot by focusing on one subject and trying different things with it. Still have a lot to learn but it is nice when somebody takes notice of your effort and leaves you a very kind comment. :)
Great find and capture Theresa. i like the Angle, clarity & compo in this shot
I was lucky enough to get a chance to return to a town I had only previously rushed through. This town is an old gold mining town established in the early 1800's and the whole town is Heritage Listed and much of it remains as it was built (especially in the main street). I went mad and thought this photo may be in keeping with the 'stone walls' theme. I don't really know what these smallish buildings were originally, but the original paint signage on the wall was for flour, and the building is currently being used as a residence - what a great place to live!!
For some reason the photo didn't upload...why am I not surprised??
Here we go again! :(
Nice shot and love the colouring as well.
Great light in your entry, Venky!
