Street photography has been practised for many decades, as early as the 1890s, and keeps interesting many a photographer.
Like any field in photography, Street photography has features of its own, that may be discussed here. Street photography has common features with portrait on the one hand, and with your report photography on the other, but it is still specific.
The first relevant point about street photography is, to put it short, CIRCUMSTANCES.
Hence I believe it would be fine if members could give some details about circumstances of a particular shot, or be ready to give some when asked.

I agree it does feel very uncomfortable to be a street photographer. I just returned from a trip to St. Lucia where I was fascinated by the people of Soufriere and wanted to capture the beauty of the people in addition to the landscape. But I was aware that some people are offended by having their picture taken and I was not as able to photograph as much as I liked.
