Starting the day in RAW

I've shot photos happily in JPEG - seemingly forever. Suddenly I am reading all kinds of interesting comments by people who shoot in RAW, all saying "once you try it, you'll never go back."

So, I'm going to give my Nikon D80 and Adobe Lightroom a go at it in the next few days. Will probably set the camera to shoot in both JPEG and RAW so I can compare as I go.

These are baby steps for me, so I might need company along the way. Will share some stuff with you as I get some.

If you properly expose your shot and save it in both RAW and Large JPG you will not see much difference in the images. Check with the manufacturer of your cameras sensor for the differences. Very o... Continue
