Hi! all I bought my D60 last year as I needed a DSLR in order to do a photo course. Are still finding out lots about it. Added a Sigma 18mm-200mm lens recently which so far is good. Does add ++ to the weight & effects the overall 'balance'. Ideally should be used most of the time with a tripod.

I got a rare lens that built full Manual Fokus, I try to fix it with my D60 n i see it can take any picture sharply, but as I say, it built for full manual indeed the bar for read exposure (light metering) have read nothing just like when we see the light on body without lens, so I measure anything by try and error, its so annoying when I tried to take some picture inside the room wich is so few ligth.
I still use this lens because it result picture very sharply.

As far as I know, Sigma 70-300 DG APO MAcro for NIKON is the best fo the two and it can also autofocus on D60. It is not a easy to work with lens though as it has no VR and needs good existing light and preferrably a tripod . Macro function is useful though, some of the latest photo posted by me on SS are shot with this lens. At about the same price, there is AFS Nikon 55-200VR which is a good one too, easier to operate (has VR), but I think SIGMA IQ is better at 200mm ...
